Update: September 8, 2020
Today’s Thought of the Day:
If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk,
then crawl, but whatever you do, keep moving forward.
- State Stats: Louisiana has had 153,177 positive cases and 4,942 reported
deaths. Today, 787 patients are hospitalized, with 124 of them on ventilators.
Hospitalizations are down approximately 1/3 over the last two weeks. The
Governor will update us this afternoon on if and when we will be moving
from Phase II to Phase III.
-

- Employee Wellness reports they returned 4 employees to work on Friday.
There are 18 employees out monitoring symptoms; 5 are RNs and 2 are respiratory
therapists.
- Nursing reports staffing remains tight due to high census of non-COVID patients.
- Clinic volume still steady, but Walk-in volume was down this weekend, and
the COVID hotline received only 29 calls all weekend.
- OR volume down slightly, which is expected for September.
Thank you all for the great job you are doing!
