cleared to return to work last Friday. Employees experiencing COVID symptoms
should stay home and call Employee Wellness at (985) 230-5706, which is
monitored 24/7. For non-COVID-19 related illnesses, call the Sick Line
at (985) 230-7425.

4 video visits. Drive-through screening station did 66 tests Friday, and
10 are scheduled for today, with 25 in the queue. We have performed a
total of 1, 991 tests with 434 positive results and 80 results pending.
The drive-through will operate M/W/F this week.
Clinics saw 66 patients over the weekend. Orthopaedics, general surgery
and neurology are coming up on myChart video visits this week.
Michele announced that Drs. Basso and Hennigen have moved to LPMC to fully
utilize the building and diagnostics.
We did 85 surgical cases last week, and have 72 already scheduled for this
week. Dr. Peltier has done a video and interview talking about the risk
of putting off procedures, and steps we are taking to keep patients and
staff safe to allay patient fears about coming to the hospital setting.
Amanda reminds everyone to universally mask while inside the facility and
to socially distance.
Staffing is good.
Bed supply is tight, so we are planning to open Tele S tomorrow unless
several patients are discharged today.
No issues with supplies.
The ODC is opening today for patients with scheduled appointments. We are
expecting 110 patients today, which is about 50% of volume. We have removed/rearranged
seating, provided signage to direct people where to sit and are installing
dots on the floor in elevators and by reception desks to facilitate social
distancing. The no visitation policy is still in effect (people accompanying
patients must wait in the car.)
North Oaks will be co-hosting a Zoom meeting with the Greater Hammond Chamber
of Commerce this Wednesday to address infection prevention, employee return
to work practices and correct use of PPE/social distancing as local businesses
prepare to reopen.
Banners have been installed at the North Oaks Drive entrance, NORH, Ponchatoula
Walk-in Clinic and downtown on Oak Street by the fire station to thank
the community for their support.
Raising Cane’s is hosting a “neck gaiter” fundraiser
for the North Oaks Foundation May 7 – 12. See below for details.
