Update: August 27, 2020
Updated Thursday, August 27, 2020
- State Stats: 144,960 COVID-positive patients, with 6,488 deaths (up 65
since Tuesday). There are 914 people hospitalized (down 24 since Tuesday)
and 148 on vents (down 4 since Tuesday).
- With the start of the school year underway, Governor Edward’s extended
Phase II precautions for another two weeks in an abundance of caution.
- North Oaks Stats: We have conducted 11,148 tests with 1,948 positive results
and 119 tests pending. We have 25 positive patients in house and one PUI
(down 3 since Tuesday). Nine patients are on vents (up 3 since Tuesday).
We have successfully recovered 453 patients (up 8 since Tuesday) and have
lost three COVID patients since Tuesday.
- Hood’s census is 20 with 2 COVID-positive patients.
- NORH’s census is 15 with 1 COVID-positive patient.
- Clinic volume has dipped due to inclement weather, as has outpatient volume.
Calls to the COVID Hotline are up.
- Nurse staffing is good and OR is busy with steady volume.
- Please keep our sister hospitals in your thoughts and prayers as they respond
to Hurricane Laura.
- Two tests of the new payroll system were conducted this week – you
may see deposits of $0.00-$0.02, and then may see those amount withdrawn
from your account. Some bank account types will not allow the refund of
the penny(ies) to North Oaks – no worries. No need to reimburse
North Oaks. New employees or those who have recently changed banks may
not see any deposit – and that’s to be expected. The second
test of the system was 100% successful and we are on track to go live
on September 17th. Way to go #TEAMPAYROLL! If you have any questions,
please talk to your leader or payroll staff.
