President/CEO Michele Sutton shared that we are running and evaluating
some new financial forecast models to assist with discussions regarding
decisions about moving forward. Even though the Governor indicated that
we had the green light to move forward with time-sensitive procedures
starting Monday, the volume that we had initially put in to our projections
did not come to fruition. As clinicians make contact with patients, they
are finding that patients are opting to delay testing, surgeries and procedures
even further. In the meantime, she encouraged all to continue to be good
stewards of our resources. More to come on our strategy moving forward.
Yesterday, a retirement plan amendment was signed to allow North Oaks employees
to borrow from their 401(a) and 457 plans if they need to during this
time. More information on how to access these emergency loan options can
be found in the “COVID-19 Financial Offers” section of the
“Coupon Corner” on OakLink under the Human Resources tab.
As providers work to ramp up clinic appointments, we are working with them
to schedule outpatient appointments for the lab work and diagnostic testing
that may be needed prior to each patient’s visit. Please remind
patients when you are calling them that they can wear their homemade mask
at our facilities. However, a mask will be provided to patients during
their visit if they do not have their own mask. Important Note: When on
duty, North Oaks health care workers
cannot wear homemade masks. You
must wear the masks that are provided to you by North Oaks on-duty for the
best protection.
Vice President of Clinics Kanna Page reports that clinic volume is trending
slightly upward.

Staffing remains really good. Please thank your employees for doing their
part and coming to work to take care of our community.
