It’s Monday, April 27th. For those of you counting, this is our seventh week under the Governor’s
original stay-at-home order. Yowza.
The Governor has planned a press conference for this afternoon to share
details regarding an anticipated phased opening of the economy beginning
5/1. We will share details tomorrow on changes that might impact North Oaks.
State Stats: There are 26,773 confirmed COVID-19 cases in 64/64 parishes,
with 1,670 deaths and 14,926 recovered. We have 1,701 patients in the
hospitals, 265 of whom are vented.
North Oaks Stats: We have 20 COVID-19 positive patients in-house with 6
PUI. Between Friday and this morning, we successfully discharged another
7 patients to recover at home, bring our total to 114.
Employee health reports 12 employees home monitoring, with 9 returned to
work and an additional 5 scheduled for evaluation today.
Population Health Reports 46 calls over the weekend with 17 video visits.
The COVID screening line saw 69 patients Friday. Ten are scheduled for
today and there are 33 in the queue. We have performed 1,631 tests, with
411 positive results and 53 pending.
Walk-in clinic volume continued to be light over the weekend.
Amanda asks that we keep laser focus on keeping areas clean and disinfected.
If you have multiple people out from your unit, extra awareness of appropriate
donning and doffing of PPE, along with hand hygiene after doffing, is
recommended.
Tele South remains closed. Tele North is being used for observation patients.
Staffing is good.
Michael happily reported there are no issues with supplies today J.
Clinics will be bringing Rheumatology, Dermatology, Urology, Pain Medicine
and our Pulmonary NPs up on myChart telemed this week.
We have begun performing a limited number of time-sensitive surgeries –
we have allotted 15/day.
