State Stats: 25,739 COVID-19 cases statewide, with 1,540 deaths. There
are 1,727 people in the hospital, 274 of whom are vented.
North Oaks Stats: We have 19 COVID-19 cases and 3 PUIs in-house, 3 of whom
are on vents. We had no discharges yesterday, so our total stands at 107.
There was one death of a nursing home patient on comfort measures.
Population health reports only 88 calls and 12 virtual visits yesterday.
We have 45 patients scheduled for drive-through screening today. Next
week we will operate drive through screening M/W/F. Altogether we’ve
done 1,631 tests with 403 positive and 7 pending. Volume at the 3 walk-in
clinics continues to be minimal, with only 30 patients yesterday.
Employee health reports 17 employees monitoring at home, with 3 returned
yesterday and 7 with appointments to be cleared to return to work today.
NOPG will complete training of psychiatry providers on myChart virtual
visits today. On tap for next week are Urology, Rheumatology and Pain
Management.
MICU-2 will be converted back to PACU starting at 10:30 this morning. The
plan is to move all COVID positive and PUIs to the surgery unit, using
Tele North as Observation. We’ll move the few patients currently
on Tele S to surgery, and reserve that space for overflow if needed.
Michele announced a change to the Employee Emergency Relief Plan. During
times of emergency, pandemic, etc. employees cannot use leave without
pay and the low census code will not apply. If PTO is available, they
must use to their full FTE equivalent.
We received another shipment of supplies last night. Supplies remain sufficient
to ensure safety of employees.
Employee Entrances: The Main Entrance (Signature Building) will close for
the weekend at 5:30 today. Employees are encouraged to use the Tower Entrance
from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and utilize the ED entrance only after hours. The
