State Stats: 25,258 COVID-19 cases in 64/64 parishes with 1,473 deaths.
There are 1,747 COVID patients in the hospital with 287 on vents.
North Oaks Stats: We have 19 COVID-19 patients in-house and 6 PUIs. Two
(2) patients are on vents. We successfully discharged 2 COVID patients
yesterday, bringing our total to 107. There was one death of a patient
who was on comfort measures only.
Employee Wellness reports 18 employees at home self-monitoring with 3 cleared
to return to work yesterday.
Population health reports 61 calls yesterday to the COVID line, and 18
video visits. We did 23 tests through the drive-through yesterday. Operations
are suspended today due to low demand, and we have 18 in the queue for
Friday. We will operate the screening station M-W-F starting next week.
Altogether we’ve tested 1,626 patients with 387 being positive,
and results pending for 110.
NOPG reports that all the cardiologists and ENT docs have been trained
on myChart telemed. They are training psychiatry the rest of this week.
Supplies are sufficient. We received 3,000 gowns and 6,000 masks yesterday.
Still working on swabs and additional surgical supplies to support increasing
surgeries and procedures next week.
On Friday we’ll be converting the MICU-2 back to PACU. New COVID-19
positive patients and PUIs will be admitted to the surgery unit. Tele
North will be used for observation. We will work down patients on Tele
S and reserve for overflow.
On Friday night the doors in the Signature Building will close at 5:30.
Employees working Friday night and this weekend should use the Tower Entrance.
