From the “Silver Lining” Department: It appears that the public
is seeing North Oaks through a new lens. Our HCAHPS patient experience
scores have increased from the 20th percentile to the 70th percentile during the COVID-19 crisis. Patients are commenting they feel
safe, listened to, and well cared for. Keep up the great work everyone
– our community appreciates YOU!

parishes, with 1,013 deaths. Yesterday there were 1,977 patients hospitalized,

- Dr. Peltier participated on a statewide call with CMOs and LDH, and learned
that the Governor is leaning toward allowing elective procedures to resume
5/1, and that the final determination will be made by individual facilities
based on supply of PPE, medications and staff. Stay tuned for more information
as the government plans for a phased return to normal operations.

- A new protocol was implemented yesterday: Patients who have been diagnosed
as COVID-19 positive and are 14 days post-test will be allowed to mask
and come into the facility to have medical testing that can’t wait.
-
A small supply of Healthcare Hero signs are still available. We will have
them available at the Tower Lobby Temperature Check station at noon today.
We ask that staff display the sign outside of their homes to encourage
their friends and neighbors to respect the state’s Stay at Home
Order. The better our community is at staying home, the more successful
and quicker we will be at flattening the COVID-19 curve.
