School of Radiologic Technology Earn Accolades at Annual Meeting

North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology students and staff recently attended the 66th Annual Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT) meeting in Shreveport.

They earned acclaim as follows:

  • Program Director Heather Koepp was installed as LSRT president.
  • North Oaks Diagnostic Center earned the 2024 Facility Recognition Award for the second consecutive year.
  • Brennen Gaudet was honored as the Student of the Year.
  • Kamryn Michel received the Joe Schwartz Memorial Scholarship.
  • Alexis Easlic, Kamryn Michel and Heaven Phillips graduated from the LSRT Student-to-Leadership Development Program.
  • North Oaks students swept the scientific essay competition with Olivia Watkins in first place, Kara Odinet in second place and Kaelyn Seals in third place.
  • North Oaks tied for second place with Southern in the T-shirt competition
  • North Oaks won the social media takeover.

About the North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology

Established in 1967, the North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology is accredited by JRCERT. The school offers a comprehensive 24-month program that provides classroom and clinical instruction to prepare students for careers in the field of diagnostic imaging, which is used to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries. Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Certification examination and apply for Louisiana state licensure.
