North Oaks Cardiology Clinic Welcomes Physician Assistant Hailey Detillier

Physician Assistant Hailey M. Detillier, PA-C, has joined North Oaks Cardiology Clinic’s growing network of providers.
Detillier will work with the cardiologists to provide comprehensive heart health care, inclusive of heart disease prevention and management, as well as diagnostic and interventional cardiology services.
Detillier graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she majored in kinesiology and minored in biology. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Mississippi State University in Meridian. Detillier is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Detillier describes her approach to patient care as open and caring. “I want my patients to feel heard and confident in their plan of care,” she explains.
Before attending physician assistant school, she worked at St. James Parish Hospital in Lutcher as a physical therapy technician guiding patients through targeted exercises to improve functional strength and independence. She also promoted St. James Parish tourism as Miss Festival of the Bonfires XXIX and reigned as the 2021 Miss St. James Parish promoting the sugar industry and local businesses.
Physician assistants are nationally certified, state-licensed medical professionals who practice on medical teams under the supervision of a physician. They are qualified to assist in surgeries and procedures, take medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, develop treatment plans, offer preventive care counseling, write prescriptions and round on hospitalized patients.
