North Oaks Pulmonology Clinic welcomes Nurse Practitioner Phillip J. Swanson

Nurse Practitioner Phillip J. Swanson, DNP, APRN, ACNPC-AG, CCRN-CSC-CMC, has joined North Oaks Pulmonology.
Swanson joins a team comprised of Pulmonologists LaSandra Barton, Justin Fowlkes, Kristin Signater, Arvind Yertha and Theepha Thaya; fellow Nurse Practitioners Lorris Bouzigard, Lori Mayers, Whitney Lashua, and Jennifer Littell.
These providers offer comprehensive pulmonary care, including asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, tuberculosis and respiratory care.
Swanson earned a doctor of nursing practice degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, he had worked as a registered nurse in intensive care/cardiovascular intensive care units since July 2017.
Previously, Swanson earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Professionally, he is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
His professional certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BSL), American Heart Association (AHA), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC-AG), Critical Care (CCRN), Cardiac Surgery (CSC), and Cardiac Medicine (CMC) from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
North Oaks Pulmonology Clinic is in Suite 401A of the North Oaks Clinic Building at 15813 Paul Vega, MD, Drive on the North Oaks Medical Center campus in Hammond. Clinic hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm weekdays.
