Amanda Deadmond, MD, has joined the team of providers at Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic in Hammond, a department of North Oaks Medical Center. She is accepting new patients.
“I am excited to bring my experience and education in fertility evaluation and treatment to the patients of Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology,” shares Dr. Deadmond. “I consider it a privilege to assist women throughout all the phases of pregnancy and the birthing experience, and I also enjoy helping them maintain their health and reach goals in other phases of their lives, too."
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Deadmond earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she also completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. In 2021, as a resident, she was honored to receive the Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology award. Following this, she completed a preceptorship in minimally invasive gynecologic and reproductive surgery at Nezhat Medical Center in Atlanta, under the guidance of world-renowned endometriosis and fertility specialist Ceana H. Nezhat, MD.
“I am looking forward to utilizing the knowledge and skill I gained during my preceptorship to benefit the women of the Northshore region when it comes to advanced treatment options for complex cases of uterine fibroids,” Dr. Deadmond attests.
She continues, “I believe it is important to have the humility to allow yourself to learn something new every day. I can still remember attending my first delivery. The joy in the room was unmatched. This field of medicine allows me to treat patients both surgically and medically while sharing a relationship with them throughout their lives.”
