Patient Advocacy/Experience Manager Julie Crockett has received North Oaks Health System's Leader of the Quarter Award for April-June 2023.
Julie’s North Oaks career began in 2005 when she joined the team as a Nurse Tech while finishing up nursing school.
“Nursing chose me,” shares Julie.
Upon graduating, she became a Staff Registered Nurse and gained experience as an Administrative Nursing Operations Supervisor. In 2020, she was promoted to Patient Advocacy/Experience Manager, where she leads the Patient Experience Team's efforts to ensure our patients have an exceptional stay while in our care.
“It fills me with a great sense of pride to work at North Oaks and help take care of a community that I love,” explains Julie.
Julie earned both an associate degree in General Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University. Prior to attending Southeastern, she earned an associate degree in Nursing from Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit.
Hammond is home to Julie, her husband Cameron and their children, 10-year-old Makenzie and 7-year-old Marigny.
Family time is Julie’s priority away from her work to improve lives at North Oaks. A self-described “dance mom,” Julie also volunteers at her daughters’ school, Courtney Christian in Hammond. She is an avid fan of Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University sports and supports her alma mater as a member of the FELIONS Organization (Female Enthusiasts for Southeastern Athletics).
