Social Brings Together Cancer Patients and Caregivers
As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive cancer care, community members with cancer and their caregivers recently enjoyed an evening of connection, inspiration and artistic expression, complements of North Oaks Health System.
The social, which was held on Sept. 14 in the E. Brent Dufreche Conference Center located within North Oaks Diagnostic Center, was open to anyone in the community with cancer and their caregivers. The event was imagined to offer cancer patients and their caregivers respite from the weight of their diagnosis while fostering unity in a supportive environment, according to Service Line Vice President Diana Barber.
Guests enjoyed refreshments, a resource fair, bingo, door prize drawings and browsing displays of arts and crafts created by fellow cancer patients. Dr. Georges Tanios and his team with North Oaks Hematology & Oncology joined with other health system staff members to host the evening.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, a cancer survivor or living with a non-cancerous blood disorder, North Oaks Hematology & Oncology is dedicated to providing expert care and compassionate support to anyone affected by cancer.
