Diagnostic Center Laboratory Registered Nurse Molly Honored with Nurse Excellence Award

Diagnostic Center Laboratory Registered Nurse Molly has received North Oaks Health System's Nurse Excellence Award for February 2023.

Molly joined the North Oaks team in 2007 as a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) on the hospital’s Pediatric Unit. In 2010, she transferred to the outpatient arena as an RN for the Diagnostic Center Laboratory. She gave Employee Wellness a try from 2021 to 2022, but ultimately, she answered the call to return to outpatient care in the Diagnostic Center Laboratory.

“I am blessed to be in a position where I can build a rapport with my patients. I love sharing joy, kindness and positivity with my patients and coworkers,” explains Molly. “We see each other frequently and have become like family to each other. We lift each other up, and it’s the most amazing feeling!”

Molly answered the call to make a difference in others’ lives by earning a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Molly and her husband David live in Ponchatoula with their 11-year-old daughter Cameron and 8-year-old son Grayson.

Away from work, Molly enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes to play volleyball and indulge in various artforms, including photography, painting and drawing.

“Molly is an exceptional nurse whose positivity and spirit of teamwork is an inspiration to all," asserts Laboratory Operations Manager Jay Driggers. "Patients consistently praise Molly as a ‘top notch’ nurse who demonstrates compassion and kindness as well as highly-skilled technique.”
