Certified Medical Assistant Dusty Honored as Employee of the Month

Certified Medical Assistant Dusty has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for July 2022.

“My patients are like family to me," shares Dusty.

Dusty joined North Oaks Physician Group in 2015 as a Certified Medical Assistant with Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology. From there, she transferred to North Oaks Primary Care before joining Northshore Internal Medicine Associates in 2017. For Dusty, improving lives means being there when your patients need someone to listen, a shoulder to lean on or a hug or smile to brighten their day.

“I will do everything I can to make sure my patients receive the very best care,” explains Dusty.

A graduate of Loranger High School, Dusty is certified as a Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals.

Independence is home to Dusty, her husband Larry Jr. and their 13-year-old son Wyatt.

Away from work, Dusty prioritizes family time and playing sports with Wyatt.

“Dusty takes the time to understand the needs of the patients with whom she works," affirms Diana Barber, Vice President of the North Oaks Primary and Medical Service Line. "She demonstrates kindness in all of her interactions with them and is a true example of the North Oaks culture.”
