Medical Assistant II Ara Honored as Employee of the Month

Medical Assistant II Ara has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for April 2022.

Ara joined the North Oaks Family Medicine team in 2020 as a Medical Assistant and hasn’t looked back.

“I love coming to work and have some of the most amazing coworkers,” she shares. “Every day is a new opportunity to improve someone’s life."

Ara graduated from the Medical Assistant program of Delta College in Covington and aspires to become a nurse. Her career path was inspired by her experiences helping to care for her aunt during a long illness.

Along with her daughters Arais, 17, and Kylie, 12, Ara calls Hammond home.

Shopping, travel and time with family and friends are some of Ara’s favorite pastimes.

“Admired and respected by her coworkers, Ara is known for going above and beyond to make each patient feel like our only patient," asserts Tytiona Ruiz, Practice Manager II. "She lives by the ‘golden rule’ of treating others as she would want her family and herself to be treated and serves as a role model for our entire team.”
