Loved Ones of North Oaks Hospice Patients Decorate Memory Tree

North Oaks Hospice held its annual Hospice Memory Tree gathering on Saturday, December 17, in the E. Brent Dufreche Conference Center in Hammond. The Memory Tree event is hosted for family members and caregivers of former patients as part of the North Oaks Hospice Bereavement Program.

Guests are invited to hang ornaments on the tree in memory of their loved ones with the support and encouragement of North Oaks Hospice staff members. The Memory Tree will be located in the lobby of the E. Brent Dufreche Conference Center, located within North Oaks Diagnostic Center, through January 6, 2023.

Pamela Henderson was among the Memory Tree guests, attending in memory of her late mother, Florence Henderson, who was a hospice patient for five days before her passing earlier this year. Pamela chose a snowperson ornament symbolizing a long-standing holiday tradition shared with her mother.

“This is the first holiday season without mom, and it just means a lot to be able to remember her this way,” shared Pamela. “The ongoing support I have received from North Oaks Hospice during and after her passing has been wonderful.
