Certified Pharmacy Technician Ava Honored as Employee of the Month

Certified Pharmacy Technician Ava has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for December 2021.
“Each day is an opportunity to find new ways to help others," shares Ava.
As a student at Amite High School, Ava became very intrigued with the ways medication can help to heal the body. Following graduation, she enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician program of Louisiana Technical Community College. Upon completion of the program, she joined the North Oaks Medical Center team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
“I always knew that I would end up working in the medical field,” she asserts. “Here at North Oaks, it feels like I’m surrounded by family.”
Ava, who was born at North Oaks Medical Center, now lives in Amite with her 8-year-old son Kingston.
As pastimes, Ava enjoys reading and watching scary movies.
