Administrative Assistant Artie Honored as Employee of the Month

Administrative Assistant Artie has received North Oaks Health System's Employee of the Month Award for May 2021.

Self-employed for 28 years, Artie decided in 2011 that she wanted to work outside of the family business she shared with her husband Joey. Intrigued by the opportunities within North Oaks Health System, Artie accepted the position of Unit Secretary on the Surgery Unit at North Oaks Medical Center. In 2016, she became Postoperative Nursing Secretary. Recently, she accepted a promotion to Administrative Assistant for Administration.

We’re family united in the goal of improving lives,” shares Artie.

She graduated from the former Southwood Academy in Hammond and also attended Southeastern Louisiana University.

Artie and Joey live in Hammond and have one grown son, Joey Jr.

Away from work, her favorite pastime is reading a good book on her patio.

“Since 2016, Artie has been the backbone of our division, and no doubt, she will continue to excel as an Administrative Assistant for Administration," asserts Postoperative Director Tyler Brignac. "Meticulous in her work, she commands and inspires accountability. She’s a great listener, versatile, perpetually smiling and always quick to lend a helping hand.”
