North Oaks Announces Closures Ahead of Winter Storm

Power has been restored to North Oaks Primary Care Clinic in Independence and North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex. Both facilities are scheduled to return to business as usual tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 18.
Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 | 4 p.m.
North Oaks Primary Care Clinic in Independence and North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex will remain closed Wednesday, Feb. 17, due to power outages associated with current winter weather conditions.
The North Oaks team is working to contact all patients affected by these closures to reschedule appointments and diagnostic services as quickly as possible.
North Oaks Walk-In Clinic in Walker and all other temporarily suspended outpatient services will resume business as usual Wednesday, Feb. 17.

North Oaks Primary Care Clinic in Independence will remain closed today, Feb. 16, due to power outages associated with current winter weather conditions.
The North Oaks team will work with all patients affected by the closure to reschedule appointments as quickly as possible.
North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex and North Oaks Walk-In Clinic in Walker also are closed today, Feb. 16, due to power outages as announced yesterday afternoon. All other temporarily suspended outpatient services are expected to resume business as usual at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 16.
North Oaks Medical Center continues to remain open to care for hospitalized patients and those in need of critical emergency services. North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital also is open. Regular visiting hours and COVID-19 visitation guidelines at both hospitals apply.
North Oaks Health System officials are in constant contact with parish and state officials, as well as the National Weather Service.

Both Livingston Parish facilities are expected to return to business as usual Wednesday, Feb. 17. All other temporarily suspended outpatient services are expected to resume business as usual at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.

For the safety of patients and staff, due to approaching, extreme wintry conditions, North Oaks Health System is canceling all outpatient appointments and other elective procedures scheduled Monday, Feb. 15, through 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb 16. This will apply to all locations in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes.
- clinic appointments
- COVID-19 vaccination appointments
- elective surgeries and procedures
- outpatient diagnostic appointments
- outpatient rehabilitation appointments (inclusive of audiology, cardiac, physical, speech, occupational and pulmonary rehabilitation)
- dialysis and infusion therapy appointments.
North Oaks Walk-In Clinics in Hammond, Walker and Ponchatoula and North Oaks Prescription Centers at North Oaks Medical Center and in the North Oaks Clinic Building also will be closed Feb. 15 thru 10 am Feb 16.
A return to business as usual for temporarily suspended services is anticipated Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m.
The North Oaks team will work with all patients affected to reschedule services and appointments as quickly as possible.
