North Oaks Urgent Care in Hammond to Reopen Wednesday, Sept. 1
As of 8/31/21 | 2 p.m.
As of 8/30/21 | 9 a.m.
As of 8/30/21 | 5:30 a.m.
As announced Friday, Aug. 27, the following North Oaks facilities will be closed today:
- All North Oaks Clinics in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes
- North Oaks Urgent Cares in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes
- North Oaks Diagnostic Center
- North Oaks Drive-thru COVID-19 Testing
- North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex
- North Oaks Outpatient Rehabilitation Services in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes
- North Oaks Prescription Center located in the North Oaks Clinic Building
- North Oaks Surgery Center.
North Oaks Medical Center and North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital’s main entrances will close at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at which time all entry will be via the Emergency Department for the medical center. The hospital main entrance closures will remain in effect until the storm passes.
Weather permitting, a return to business as usual is anticipated for all services and locations on Tuesday, Aug. 31.
North Oaks officials are closely monitoring weather reports and are in constant contact with parish and state officials, as well as the National Weather Service.

- Amite High Magnet School, 403 S. Laurel Street in Amite
- Hammond Westside Elementary, 2500 West Park in Hammond
- Greenfield Park Leadership Academy,869 W Coleman Ave in Hammond.
- Kentwood High School, 603 9th Street in Kentwood
- Live Oak Junior High School, located at 30830 Old Louisiana Hwy 16 in Denham Springs, is the designated shelter for Livingston Parish.
- A Medical Special Needs Mega-Shelter is located in Alexandria. Call Triage at (318) 767-6200 to find out if you meet criteria.

Tangipahoa Parish Curfew in Effect
Livingston Parish Government has issued a parish-wide curfew starting at 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29, and continuing until 10 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 30.
Tangi Opens Shelters Of Last Resort Saturday, Aug. 28th, Starting At 6 P.M.
As of 9 a.m. this morning, a shelter opened in Livingston Parish at Live Oak Junior High School, located at 30830 Old Louisiana Hwy 16 in Denham Springs.
A Medical Special Needs Mega-Shelter is located in Alexandria. Evacuees should call (318) 767-6200 for triage to find out if they meet criteria.
In consideration of Tropical Storm Ida’s projected path and in the interest of patient and staff safety, North Oaks officials announce the following temporary closures effective Monday, Aug. 30:
- All North Oaks Clinics in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes
- North Oaks Diagnostic Center
- North Oaks Drive-thru COVID-19 Testing
- North Oaks-Livingston Parish Medical Complex
- North Oaks Outpatient Rehabilitation Services in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes
- North Oaks Prescription Center located in the North Oaks Clinic Building
- North Oaks Surgery Center.
North Oaks Urgent Care Clinics in Hammond, Ponchatoula and Walker will be closed starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 through Monday, Aug. 30.
North Oaks Prescription Center at North Oaks Medical Center will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29 and as needed thereafter to assist Emergency Department patients.
