Trauma Program Assistant Kathy Named Employee of the Month for February 2019

Trauma Program Assistant Kathy has received the North Oaks Health System Employee of the Month Award for February 2019.

After 19 years of working in the medical field in Kentucky, Kathy and her family moved to Louisiana in 2015. That same year, Kathy joined North Oaks as Trauma Program Assistant.

A graduate of Russell High School in Kentucky, she was drawn to a career in health care because of the many opportunities available to make a difference in the lives of others.

"One act of kindness can make someone's day. So smile, be kind and positive," asserts Kathy.

Kathy currently resides in Ponchatoula with her husband Joe. They have three children – Michael, 26; Kyle, 23; and Brooklyn, 16 – and a 2-year-old granddaughter, Madalyn. The family is looking forward to the birth of a grandson in May.

Kathy cherishes family time and enjoys boating, shopping and going to the movies.

“Kathy is the backbone of our Trauma Program," affirms Trauma Program Manager Tyler Brignac. "When it comes to our injury prevention initiatives, she represents us professionally. Her positivity, organizational skills and ability to anticipate needs are second to none and were instrumental in the success of our recent recertification survey.”
