Rehabilitation Outpatient Operations Manager Reagan Johnson was recently recognized by The Daily Star as a “Future 40 Under 40” professional to watch.
Johnson joined North Oaks Rehabilitation Services in 2006 as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She became Audiology Clinical Supervisor in April 2011 and then Hammond Park Professional Building Coordinator in September 2011. She accepted her current position as manager of all outpatient audiologists, athletic trainers and physical, speech and occupational therapists in 2012. Johnson also is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Johnson's success is founded in her technical skills and her compassion for her patients and for her coworkers. She earned both bachelor and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Southeastern Louisiana University.
When selected as the North Oaks Leader of the Month in April 2017, she stated, “My coworkers are like family. I’m proud of how we care for our patients and each other.”
Johnson and her team help hundreds of patients every year recover from a myriad of injuries, return to activities of daily living after suffering an injury or stroke, and help keep student and collegiate athletes competing safely through the health system's Sports Medicine program.
She excels at keeping her patients and her team motivated.
“Reagan’s passion for improving the lives of her patients is undeniable,” shares Mac Barrient, Rehabilitation Services Director.
Johnson recently spearheaded a complete overhaul of the model used to treat pediatric patients. This redesign resulted in a significant decrease in the wait time for children to be treated.
