Telemetry Charge Nurse Chase has received the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award for August 2018.
Chase joined the Telemetry Unit team in 2010 as a Staff Registered Nurse, quickly becoming a Charge Nurse before transferring to the Cath Lab. From there, he became a Flex-Ability Nurse working in many areas of the hospital before returning to Telemetry as a Charge Nurse in 2016.
"I was drawn to the medical field because it's always evolving and creating new ways to care," shares Chase.
Chase earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing through Southeastern Louisiana University.
He lives in Springfield with his wife Angelle and their daughters – Kinsleigh, 5; and Amelia, 2.
Cooking, reading, RV camping and hiking are some of his favorite pastimes.
“Chase is a well-rounded nurse who is dedicated to lifelong learning," affirms Telemetry Clinical Nurse Manager Britanie Breland. "He’s always seeking to build upon the quality of care we give to our patients. He is a helper by nature, and that makes him an extraordinary patient advocate.”
