Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse Diana has received the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award for May 2018.
"I believe treating patients like family helps put them at ease," Diana shares.
From 2002 to 2005, Diana worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation as a Rehab Tech and as an Exercise Specialist. Following nursing school, Diana returned to North Oaks in 2006 as a Registered Nurse on the Telemetry Unit. In 2007, she became a Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Southeastern Louisiana University, Diana decided to pursue nursing at the urging of her late grandmother. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College with an associate degree in Nursing.
Diana lives in Ponchatoula with her husband John, their 9-year-old son, Carter, and their 6-year-old daughter, Catherine.
Away from work, Diana focuses on family. She enjoys traveling and also serving as Education Adviser for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Southeastern.
Professionally, she belongs to the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses.
“Diana has a heart for serving others," affirms Terri Magliolo, Cardiology Services Manager. "She goes above and beyond in everything she does, regardless of the challenge. For her, it’s all about taking care of each patient like family.”
