Marketing Director Shantel Honored as Leader of the Month for May 2017

Marketing Director Shantel has received the North Oaks Health System Leader of the Month Award for May 2017.

Shantel joined the North Oaks team as a Market Strategist/Business Development Representative in 2012. She was promoted to Marketing Director in 2014.

"Leadership to me means trusting and empowering my team and helping to position North Oaks as the region's health system of choice" shares Shantel.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration through the University of New Orleans. She was drawn to the marketing field because it is equally scientific and creative.

Shantel and her husband Raychon live in Slidell with their children — Cameron, 2; Amari, 11; and Rae’jean, 16.

She is president of the Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization and a 2017 graduate of Leadership Tangipahoa. Shantel loves public speaking and considers herself an emcee — she’s been writing lyrics and rapping since age 12!
