Justin D. Fowlkes, MD, Joins North Oaks Pulmonology Clinic

Justin D. Fowlkes, MD, joined North Oaks Pulmonology Clinic effective Aug. 6, 2017 and is now accepting new patients, age 18 and older. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Fowlkes, call (985) 230-APPT [2778].

As a pulmonologist, he specializes in helping patients who have lung-related diseases or problems breathing. He commonly diagnoses, treats and provides rehabilitation for asthma, emphysema, bronchitis and pneumonia.

Fowlkes earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed an Internal Medicine residency as chief resident and a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship through Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.

Throughout his medical training, Fowlkes dedicated his personal time to community service. He volunteered at Camp Tiger with disabled children, helped to renovate homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina in St. Bernard Parish, and served as a medical special needs shelter physician during Hurricane Isaac, to name only a few community service projects.
