Clinical Nurse Manager Shana Honored as Leader of the Month

Clinical Nurse Manager Shana has received the North Oaks Health System Leader of the Month Award for February 2017.
"I challenge my team to care for our patients like family," shares Shana.
Shana joined the hospital’s Medicine Unit team in 2002 as a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse. In 2006, she transferred to the OB/GYN Unit in the same capacity. In 2015, she returned to the Medicine Unit, accepting a promotion as Clinical Nurse Manager.
Shana’s professionalism and dedication to patient care have earned her recognition from North Oaks as the Nurse Excellence Award recipient for December 2013 and from the Tangipahoa District Nurses Association as one of ten “Top Nurses” for 2017.
Shana and her husband Ray live in Albany with their children, 11-year-old Hunter and 6-year-old Olivia. The family belongs to Old Zion Hill Baptist Church congregation.
Away from work, Shana enjoys spending time with her family traveling, fishing and attending Louisiana State University ball games.
Shana values compassion, courtesy, commitment and communication in all that she does. She works closely with her team to make sure our patients and their loved ones are cared for like family,” affirms Vice President of Patient Services Kirsten Riney.
