Labor & Delivery Charge Nurse Wanda Receives Nurse Excellence Award

Labor & Delivery Charge Nurse Wanda has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award.
"Being a part of an amazing, life-changing experience for new families is an honor," Wanda shares.
Wanda worked at North Oaks from 1982-1987 as a Unit Secretary. She then earned an associate degree in Nursing from Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia in 1992 and returned to North Oaks as a Labor & Delivery Staff RN. In 2012, she was promoted to Charge Nurse.
Wanda lives in her native Albany with her husband Terry and sister Toni. She attends Old Zion Hill Baptist Church there.
Wanda and Terry have three children— Michael, and twins Brittany and Blair—and four grandchildren—Brayden, 9; Corbin, 8; Addie, 7; and Conlon, 4.
She likes to garden and go hunting and fishing with her husband and grandchildren.
“Wanda is dedicated to helping mothers have happy and healthy babies,” notes Women & Children's Services Director Kimberly R. Woods.
