North Oaks Promotes Child Safety With Play It Safe Event

Join North Oaks Health System for “Play It Safe,” a free, interactive safety event on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cate Square Park in Historic Downtown Hammond.
Free bike helmets will be given to the first 300 children who are pre-registered for the event by Sunday, October 11. Register here or by calling North Oaks Business Development at (985) 230-6647.
The goal of Play It Safe is to increase safety awareness through education, demonstrations and activities for families with children, ages 12 and younger. Educational activities and demonstrations include:
• Child passenger car seat safety checks
• Seat belt demonstrations
• Sports safety
• Hunting and fishing safety
• Home hazards, including food and fire safety
• Trick or treat safety.
