Telemetry Unit North Charge Nurse Rivers, RN, Receives Nurse Excellence Award

Telemetry Unit North Charge Nurse Rivers, RN, has been honored with the North Oaks Health System Nurse Excellence Award.
Rivers joined the North Oaks team in September 2012 as a staff nurse on the Telemetry Unit and accepted her current position in November 2014.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
“Rivers is a true patient advocate. Her priority is delivering competent, safe, high-quality patient care,” notes Nursing Unit Manager Jason Lindsey. “The healing, education and overall holistic improvement of her patients are her goals.”
A native of Jackson, Rivers and her husband David live in Mandeville. They are the parents of 14-year-old twins, Sarah and Walker. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
