Same Day Surgery Staff RN Katherine was grocery shopping with her children
when a fellow shopper grabbed at her chest and collapsed. Katherine rushed
to her aid while the store’s Pharmacy staff occupied her children.
Not finding a pulse, K
atherine began performing CPR, called out for reinforcements and asked that 9-1-1 be called. Fortunately, Dr. Dennis Booth and another nurse also were shopping and answered Katherine’s call for help with resuscitation. Thanks to their efforts, the woman’s pulse was restored, and she was able to be transported to a local emergency room by ambulance for further care. |
